Just tell him to configure the ZE to match the k8. What sensors is he talking about, there's no sensors in the intake? The only wiring that needs to be extended sometimes is the ground wire, no big deal. I'm wondering if he broke your VRIS during the install. I'd go and ask what the problem is and LOOK at the engine. Anyway the K8 will fit but your engine won't run properly

There is the VAF, which is the same JE50 on both the K8 and KLZE.

Ya, but that's part of the intake system, not intake manifold, and is irrelevant to the intake manifold.

Ya, there's no sensors on the IM, just the VRIS solenoids, but those are swappable.

If you want to make things easy, find a curved-neck IM and i'll work fine with your stock harness. You can use an K8 IM no problem, it just restricts performance.

KLZEs don't have an EGR, and because of that you won't get the CEL if you get an KLZE ECU or chip, or the probinator chip. You'll need either one of those for it to run properly anyway. I'm not sure about the knock sensor though.

The knock sensor is fine. I don't remember mine but I'm pretty sure Kp2t's was like that too with just the 1 wire.

What ground wire do you speak ok?

The only connection that I can think of thta needs to be extended is the VRIS 2 connector.

you need to reroute the knock sensor, as with the KLZE it goes to the driverside, but in your car you want it to reach the connector which is located on the passengerside.

it's a single wire with a metal wrapping around the core wire... with my ZE the wire was broken off, resoldered it and it worked fine

Don't you just plug it in? If you can, plug it in and leave it be, it'll be fine the way it is. If anything, you can swap the knock sensor from your K8, should technically be the same.
