Wideband shows (---)

Post by hgallegos915 »

HMMM

When I start the car it will show like 14 afs and slowly crawl up to"---"

then it wont move...

I know the car is not running lean as I riched the mixture and it puffs black smoke.

Anyone experience this?

If I diconnect it the gauge will read 14.5 when its disconnected.. a soon as I connected.. even if the car is not running.. it will start going up up and until ---

If I need a new one.. does anyone know the part number for the AEM wideband gauge?

Do you have it in one of your headers? I think it's meant to be 24"+ away other wise it will fry in a high reving or turbo engine. (mine is in my front header...temporary and no turbo!). Also should be at 10deg incline. Sucks :( I would of thought it's the sensor, not the guage broken, which is at least the cheaper bit.
