once these are in production ill order a pair for sure...i just hope shipping to australia doesnt kill me :shrug:


anything is better that the mx3 excell style lights...

Well, firstly, for the most part, DRL's are required for all of Canada since 1990. I don't believe DRL's are required at all in the US, but were legalized for use since '95, basically leaving it up to the manufactuers. Those LED's, although at the moment, I'm not quite fond of them, would be a way for them to impliment DRL function in their lights so they could be sold in Canada and the US with little to hopefully no problem.

DRL's are typically, and in the Mx-3, ran by running the high-bean at a low voltage. Some bulb types could possibly not like that, but HID's absolutely hate it. The LED design would allow people to run HID's while keeping some sort of DRL function. The only other option would be to run your low-beams all the time as DRL's...

Or alternately, use that part of the signal housing that's blocked off to run a DRL...

Well i'm in socal and i live 10min away from Spyder Auto if i could i would like to see them in person i would try to bring my mx3 just to see how it would look on are cars
