First try not to post more than once about the same thing, you may tick
someone off.

Second you have a B6 Auto and your wanting a higher top speed and
redline (from other post) ?

That is likely not possible with the B6 auto as its kind of a craptastic
tranny. Your best bet would be to swap to a manual transmission
because I doubt anyone has tried or knows how to do what your
asking. My first impression is do not bother it will be more expensive
and take more time than a simple manual swap out.

If you want to increase the top speed of a manual trans you can
change the 5th gear to some 626/mx-6 gears to drop about
500-600 rpm at cruising.

B6ME or B6DE?

The SOHC does not have a speed limiter - as there is no speed input to the ECU.
The DOHC provides speed input to ECU - but i dont know if it's used to limit top speed.... You can cut the wire going to ECU to possibly disable it - but make sure you buy life insurance before you do that...

^ I dont know what you're talking about, I put a ZE in my GS so I could go faster than the car allowed :-P (though not top end speed, so I guess the point is moot)

I wouldnt want to push the auto anymore than it already is since they tend to break easy.

If you have a b6, you'll never hit the top speed anyways. The fastest mine has ever done was almost 130... And it takes a LOT of road to ever do that.

If you're looking to eliminate the rev limiter, that could be fun. If you have a manual tranny.

^ what! i don't no that much about mazda engine, but if you rebuild the engine and boost it, add a light weight clutch, remap the ecu and add a spray. there is no reason anyone can't beat the speed limit, you just have to be willing on spend more money and also known what you are doing

I said B6, not boosted B6.

Big difference. A boosted B6 is a mean little engine and shouldn't be underestimated. it can turn some wheels.
