K-sport MX3 Coilovers

Post by 94precidiamx3 »

I'm wondering if any of you guys know a supplier that carries K-sport coil overs for the MX3, I live in Canada and there are too many people telling me to look in the states for the kit. The MSRP on K-sports site is $1300, my buddies tell me that I can get the same kit in the states for something like $950. Anyone have any info on this? Even if its a website or supplier that is situated in the states, K-sport wants $1300 sugested retail.

Hey man, try this site, get the 2wd 323 version. They ship anywhere in Canada as well, ask for a discount too.

Yes, they will be stiff, but they are very adjustable. Just be very careful when doing it.

The 2wd version is actually a 5k front 4k rear setup IIRC so not to bad compared to some coilovers you can get for hondas etc. The GTX 4wd ones are 9k front 5k rear, so those would be stiff

there arn't a lot of companies who offer coil overs for the mx3, I looked into a lot. skunk2, apexi, eibach, tein (too expensive) h&r, no one makes other than like tein and k-sport.

thanks for the link man, very nice, thats what I was looking for, hopefully shipping wont be too bad.

Just 1 question, I know its the same platform but why do you suggest I get the 323 2wd kit when I could just get the precidia kit for the same price, is there any advantage to be gained by buying the kit for the 323?

Here is another listing for them:
Ksport GT Pro Damper Coilover System Mazda 323 2WD 1988-1994 #CMZ162-GT
http://www.ultrarev.com/product.php?productid=79159" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Page of Ksports:
http://www.ultrarev.com/home.php?cat=344&page=19" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But they are more expensive there than the previous poster, but options are good.

Has anyone with a mx3 installed the KSport coilovers?

here in holland several mx3s are equipped with the ksport kit.. ( i have one sitting in the garage waiting for installation)

what i have heard around is that they are stiff as hell, more track style... so if you are in to a smooth ride then it might not be the first choice

Looking at the first post the spring rates are most likely meant for a v6 mx3, 7.5k front and 4 rear is biased. If I had a 4cyl I would go with the 323 2wd which is 5k front 4k rear IIRC

Hey ya'll I have the K-sport Kit on mine, Just checking K-sports web site now, There was no kit when I bought mine,
about 8 months ago,

the 323 GTX kit is very stiff, almost to stiff for even a track only car.

Looks like they offer a kit now, but look at the spring rates, they are the same,
I am calling them tomorrow to see about this,
because I am in need of a slightly softer spring(I mean my old ebay set up was softer!!!!)
