Re: Simple In Theroy, Complicated To Build. +Compression Ratio

I don't know anything about internals from other cars, but if you are wanting to get around 140 hp I'm thinking the BP swap is for you. Shouldn't cost more than $500 for the engine depending on where you live (I've seen them much cheaper). And doing the BP swap will be easier than almost anything you can do to the engine. If you want to get more compression you'll have to either turbo it or shave off some of the head or bore out the cylinders. Best bet would be to get a BP engine. You can use the same wiring harness and from what I hear it is an almost direct swap, not much needed and would be a lot easier and cheaper than trying to up the compression. But I don't know a whole lot (at least I don't think I do) so I would get some more advice.

id say either turbo it with low comp pistons or swap in the bp. direct bolt in for you and those thing make 120hp at the crank stock. best of luck lots of info on this site for ya.
