First quick wash of 0/8 LOL didnt go to crazy as I am waiting for some stuff to come in so I can start the body work.

Also Ordered my probinator chip today. My kl01 ecu and kl02 vaf should be here in a couple. Give that a shot and see how it turns out. I have a dyno booked for the 24th of may I think LOL. (Its marked down somewheres) So I might compare the k8 ecu/ je50 vaf to the probinator chip and kl02 vaf. See how much gain there is over stock ecu.

Started a little more work on the front today. My hopes are to have it finished by the end of the week. But it never seems to work out that way.

omg man ur my saviour!!! LaL jk .. but man i am so glad i found ur work log

since i got my mx3 i planned to close that bumper hole, and now seeing u do gives me more hope it'll turn out right

so i already started working on fixing my bumperi am almost done sanding it, so i wanna know how did u do it to close the hole? the steps and materials i mean...

from what i understand you laid out spanding foam (any kind oka?) first, then applied some resing on top of it to further harden, then apllied fiberglass with resin(how many layers did u use?) then what is next?

Get low expansion Hi-density foam. Spray in a layer and let it dry, Do this a couple times so that there is next to no air pockets. Then I used a hacksaw blade to cut the foam to the disired shape. You can also use a sander. Next I used fiber-glass and resin and put on two layers. Next I put on some Body putty and sanded. Might have to do this a couple times untill you get a smooth transition. Work it down from 100 grit to 600. wash the bumper then prime. The primer will reveal any inperfections that will show up in the paint. So if you see anything you dont like, now is the time to fix it. If it is ok. Then paint, clear and install.

Between steps mount the bumper on the car just to make sure the lines are going to line up.

What kind of bumper is that again.. Looking at it makes me want one soooo bad. Also, Didn't you post a picture on the car. I'd like to see it on a car to see how low it sits. Being how hard it is to find a dang lip, I might have no choice but to get a body kit front bumper.

Its a moded Mazdaspeed front. It sits a little higher then the stock gs bumper with the lip. Look in my worklog man I posted a photoshop picture of what it would look like on the car.

Check this out also.

I think page 2 has more pic's.

I am going to get a couple cans of mazda brilliant black to finish it off. If I dont like the look then I will take it to a shop and have them spary on the good stuff.

The black I used was just some automotive gloss black that I had. Just wanted to see what it would look like.

Couple pic's. I know the light is bad. sorry. But i'm not pulling the front off and test fitting it again untill I get the proper paint on it. This is just a dry fit, it is just sitting on the bumper. not mounted down or anything. so the lines are not 100% yet.
