I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

IIRC correctly, it actually does come off with jus that one nut at the top. i did once and it was a real b*tch to do... i think i tried it again and it didn't work. i recall using a flat head or something to kinda pry it up off the post

A shaped charge of C-4 might do the job too.

wow .. you guys are having that much trouble taking your rear wiper arms off? .. i took mine off the other day .. it was the small nut on the top of the arm ... then i just pushed down on the arm its self .. about a inch away from the nut .. then just lifted it off .. hope this helps!!

I removed my wiper a couple years ago. One nut on the back. If you need to replace the hole unit you have to remove the trim under the hatch. IIRC there is three screws holding a cover over the motor. Disconect the harness, Couple bolts holding it to the hatch. Remove the one nut on the arm from the topside. Then pull the stuff apart.

Here's something i wanted to do for a very long time - i want the rear wiper to stay in the horizontal position when off instead of sticking up in a vertical position - i dont know why but i just hate this wiper sticking up there (and casting weird shadows at night). I will open up the assembly one day and see if it can be done ......
