Someone pulled a hit and run on my girlfriends 93 mx-3. They hit the fender over the rt rear tire. It's not a clean dent, so won't come out with a plunger. I'm trying to pop most of it out, and getting creative. If I can put a motorcycle innertube in the space between the dent and a body panel, maybe I can pop out most of the dent, and only have to fill a little with bondo. Maybe it won't work at all - I dunno.
Anyone know if I tear out the interior trunk panels, can I get to the exterior fender panel? Is there a brace or something to jam an innertube in? I've tried pulling out dents in the past with slide pulls, hammers, etc and it always looks worse then when I started, which is why i'm thinking of a soft innertube.
Whattaya think?
Thx

Re: body work question
thats been a big topic before...u could probably search it.
most people say walmart, or dillons, or some place like that.
but in kansas there is no dry ice at any place like that, but they have some here at work!
first thing i thought of when i got this job was lettin everyone know we get dry ice! haha

Re: body work question
you'll need stud welder to properly pull out a dent. If you drill a hole it will leave no metal behind filler so after some time moisture builds up and it will rust from inside out.

Re: body work question
I have used a gluegun style puller to reasonable effect. You just heat up the rod with a hair dryer, pour cold water on to set it, pull dent out and hair dryer off. Good for when you cba paying a pro ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Like this only mine was more basic:
