Loss of power

Hi everyone, this is my first post here, had my MX-3 v6 1.8 for 5 months, since i got it i have been having a few problems, which i now have time to try and fix . the problems that i have been having are the car has lost alot of power, when im going up hills (not steep), i have to move down the gears. also the car hiccups when below 2500rpm.

Another problem that im having is the car is using a huge amount of fuel, it is using 17 litres of petrol for every 100 kilometers, which i think is far too much.

I hope there is someone that can help me with this because i love my car, but i miss the power, and im fed up having to go to the petrol station every 2 days

I dont like to think into every single part unless you've eliminated the big parts and im gonna say VAF Sensor is failing... Do you have your engine light go on?... Specialy up hills?
