fowl do you mean,

If you take a Hot Metal Tube and try to cool it down with Syn or Dino...

Dino will cool it faster but will break itself down

Syn will cool it slower but will not break down itself as fast.

Yes!
Kinda..
but, I'm not talking about breakdown at all!
But, the first part is what I'm saying.
Dino oil has almost as high thermal breakdown threshhold as Syn, but the additive packages don't fair as well.
Syn almost doesn't break down at all.

AMSOIL is the best out there.

Also agree on the reg Vs syn oil heat dissipating properties discussion.

"AMSOIL is the best out there.

Thanks! I had a hard time typing out what I meant (I still hunt and peck)!
I'm interested how you came to your conclusion. I've heard that before. It seems to me, that when you get to the top 5 oils, it's a matter of choice, but I've never tested them for a favorite, or even use Amsoil.
Edited: Added quotes, so it didn't look like I wrote it.

I use quaker state 5w30 in the winter and 10w30 in the summer. alot of guys say use syn but I change my oil every 2500 miles so I see no point in paying so much more for oil I change often

I use to use Quaker State (Q Horsepower) but i found that it wasn't good for a MX3 for 2 reasons

1) It is not a Porsche its a MX3
2) Basicly if your engine is older and not re-built or managed well it just doesnt hold her tight...

I find,
Castrol GTX for the Sludge / Royal Purple for the Seals / Mobil for Lubrication
