oil in intake

Post by jeremypotter74 »

Found some oil in the intake when I removed the air box.... does this mean it's not bad rings that are causing smoke at high rpm? the oil has blackened everything past th throttle valve...

it looks like thats where it was coming from ... I broke the old one when I accidentally leaned on it loosening a tranny bolt so I cant check if the valve was bad but i got a new one hopefully thats where the smoke was coming from and not the rings..... I was burning a quart of oil every three weeks or so, with no drips under the car.
