Chrome Miata Handles - Solid Metal!

Post by SuperK »

Tis true, the chrome miata handles are solid metals.

A poor soul informed me they were just "coated" and I had to ensure he was put in his rightful place. SuperK style. Without the insults, mind you!

Pictures proving metal handles are metal... and stinky people are stinky!

The insides are obviously very dirty...

but see the cast lines? the... METAL ones?
see how it's through and through metal, in the polygonal holes?
they're also cold to the touch, metal is a great thermal conductor.
and they go "ting ting ting" when you tap on them.

Hence, SuperK's metal chrome miata handles in his mx-3, are indeed, metal chrome miata handles in his mx-3.
observation over. These things aren't cheapey plastic painted pieces.

*EDIT* Here's a comparison picture. As you can tell, the handles are even constructed differently. Thicker, stronger, and of course, very not plastic.

The plastic handle:

thank you for making me a believer as I thought the miata handles were plastic with spray on chrome that can chip off...

These are chrome covered plastic, but would look very nice with those handles!

Let me note (for a certain someone *cough*mooneggs*cough*

that this link is NOT for the door handles.

This is a third party company that is layering the plastic little BUCKETS. These are not the door HANDLES that come OEM from Mazda.

So, mooneggs, once more, let's go through this again

metal handles are metal, metal handles are metal, and superk's metal chrome handles are metal chrome handles, and the metal chrome handles that are NOT plastic handles overlaid with a chrome finish are INDEED metal chrome handles that are NOT plastic handles overlaid with a chrome finish.

before I go all SuperKrazy, freakin' understand already, SIR! :P

I don't know my brothers friends cousins stepbrothers uncle kyle said they were just plastic handles covered in metal , and from sources I hear that he might be a reliable guy , especially if you ask him on a Tuesday , which I think they did , because on Tuesdays thats when he gets his weekly breathalizer test and for the most part he's sober for those, So I hear.

SO are you surrrrre these are metal ? I think I might still have my doubts
I'm pretty sure they are plastic with metal covering.
Yeah , I'm going to have to stick with my story. :freak:

Are they direct bolt in and what year Miata do I source?

...and are they real metal, cuz they sorta look like plastic with that chrome plating crap...that flakes off...sorta...I'm just saying.
