From what I know It is a 60 degree v6 the same as a kl/k8. Thats all I really know about the motor. I dont know about the mounts, trans, axels, Wireing... theres so much that would have to be changed.. It might work.. There must be info about it on here.
I suppose it would be possible to make it work, but the time and money needed to do it would not be worth it. The 2.5 Duratec is a Ford motor, not really even related to the KL series V-6s. A KLZE still has more power and would be cheaper and much easier to swap.

The 3L version makes about as much power as the KL, no aftermarket either, although it is a good motor, my parents have had 2 gens of taurus both with the duratec and it is a good motor. They have a close resemblence to the KL motor as well, that one seems to be a SVT contour motor. Check out the taurus duratech engine:
