I took out the glass below the hatch garnish last night to fix a rusty spot. I found that the glass is held by silicone adhesive to the hatch.
Is it suppose to be like that ?
My bro-in-law owned that car before me so I'm not sure it is original.

I took out the glass also on one of my hatches and it seemed to be a tar-like substance like you would use on the front window glass.
were you having issues with the glass? fogging? moisture? or are you just asking lol

I was trying to fix a rusty spot behind that glass.
