yea for sometime now my left window wiper didn't work so today i decided to fix and i found that the bolt on my wiper arm wasn't screwed in tight so i decided to tighten it up and i ended up snapping it in half any advice

need to remove the cowl and replace the arms that go from the cowl to the wiper motor.

I think the busted portion of the bolt is stuck in the wiper pivot assembly. After removing it (yes it does require you remove the cowl, remove the wiper arm, pop the wiper link arms off the pivot and remove some bolts holding the pivot) you might be able to get the bolt out of the pivot and salvage it. If not it appears that new pivot isn't too expensive. Check out part #7 in the image from Mazda parts dealer:
