Pics of my MX-3, with Navigation:)

Post by jrors »

Well, I went to Best Buy, and got a Pioneer AVIC D3 installed today. I've been wanting one for sometime now... so as you can imagine, I'm a happy fella right about now. The system itself is loaded, so it'll be fun learning the program options.

I took the pics with my cell phone, so the pics didn't come out as sharp as I would have liked.

Hope you all like the pics, and tell me what ya' think!

Thanks matt753. The unit itself was $699, and the regular price was $1000. The install was $100 and add in a few extra parts I needed to hook up my ipod, and the unit... the total came up to $953, incuding tax.

Funny thing is, is that, it took the installer, almost 5 hours to install the unit! The installer said that he never, ever wants to install another unit like I have, on a MX-3 again! I got a good laugh off of that remark. He says, he had problems getting it to mount right, finding the speed sensor, to hook it up to the unit, to monitor engine speed and so on!

But, when it's all done and said, this is one incredible unit to have in a MX-3, and I hope alot of you guys might consider it.

Other than that it looks very nice!

Oh i've always thought that's a nice player/screen/navigation. It gives that oem navigation look. Looks great! But would look even better if the center console was also black. At the moment the console looks kinda oldish n has a really new player/screen, so there's a bit of a contrast.

Thanks Vanished, Hood-R Oliver, and Custommx3.

I liked the way it all came together and I'm still checking out all the options on it, and when it comes to the old style dash, giving a bit of contrast to the new unit, I gotta admit, that this is my favorite dash between the two that came out for the MX3 :P
