main bearings klze

Post by claude matte »

what are you guy using for main bearing for your klze rebuilds
my block bore is way bigger then what toga, sealed power ,clevite list

kl31/klze blocks
spec
mains bore:2.6387 all 4 and the block is std or stock

and as for klde blocks
spec
mains bore:2.4385-2.4392 all 4 and thats std form mazda
i have perchesed the toga and kl bearing ipp and they dont fit the give me .0035-.004 witch is way off
and the sealed power book lists there bearing as klze bearings there not even close it the same .0035-.004

and as for clevite i asked them this
do you make custom bearings ?
i have a mazda j spec klze block with a main bore of 2.6387 and a a spec crank with a dia of 2.4387/2.4391 so a of the shelf bearing dont exist
i have orderd 2 set from 2 diffrent places and they dont fit at all please help me thank you
they replyed this

MS2058AL FITS YOUR ENGINE. Housing bore is 2.6356-2.6367. Crank diameter is 2.4382-2.4392. your housing bore measurement is off .002, I'd double check the measurement. if it checks out, it needs a line-hone. Order thrust washer set TW552S as well to complete the job.Bearing shells 1,2,3 are the same, shell 4 is wider.

Bill

so i dont know why i would make the hole bigger because it .002 bigger already :confused2: lol

so i dont know what to do, maybe thats why so many people have been spining bearings after rebuilds
do you guys know any company the do custom bearings
thanks claude
