well. now that I'm fully confident with my project GS, i think it's time to start getting under the hood again with something new. my dad says he'll only partially fund it if it's under $1000.

You may laugh, but i'm actually looking at an AE86 Corolla with a GTS 4AGE 16v DOHC engine.

I WILL NOT be selling my MX-3 so don't you fret. i wouldn't trade it for a toyota :p just thought it might be a fun project. my hands have been grease-free for like 6 months now and i really want to get back under a car!

Same here, I'm picking up a Montego Blue 1993 RX-7 Touring Edition next week. But the MX-3 will be gone when I get it. Maybe in alitle while I'll go and get a new one but I doubt it. Good luck with the Corolla, alot of my friends got those and theyre fun to play with.

just an update fellas, that purchase fell through, but as luck would have it, another one popped up even closer to me, it has the weaker SOHC engine, but luckily the DOHC swap is much cheaper to do in comparison to the BP or KLZE (as the engine is more readily available).

this one is pretty worse for wear, 350 dollars by any means, i may be looking at my very first engine overhaul, which I'm very excited about. once i get it running, the first thing I'll do is suspension upgrades (It's a drifter!)

NICE , ive noticed a tend.. alot of people are fed up with cars that they have there and just sell them for nothing because they need parking space or got no time!!

I just got a 93 eclipse for 120 dllrs!!! engine runs.. just water pump is shot...


but the tires are NEW and are worth just that!! LOL

well, the corolla deal has long since fallen thru, but i've finally found my next project car, i paid 1000 US dollars and got a Lancia Scorpion

I've never heard of this car before, and one night around 2 am when i was out looking for my cat (he got out somehow), i came across this Italian beauty sitting in an alley collecting dust, so i put a note on it saying to call me if he was interested in selling. sure enough, I get a call from the owner the next day saying he'll sell it to me for 1000 flat. i looked into it a little and decided i wanted this to be my next project.

oh yes, i do know what i've got myself into. but this is the kind of project i've wanted since i got into cars... something rare and unique. good thing i am keeping my mx-3 too.

Ya,i know what you mean. I need to get a second vehicle soon, but I want to get an FC as a RWD project drift car, and I want to keep the Mx3 as well. They are 2 different cars with 2 different goals.

Coool! It looks like a little DeLorean. I hope there are somewhat easy swaps, as the original parts will not be easy to find.
