ride over 100km/h

Post by maryus »

Hi again guys, i did a research i didn't find quite what i wanted.

Lets put it like this: when i drove over 100 km/h i felt the steering wheel a little bit shaking ... now , i am using winter tires , is this a good cause ?

Second , if the wheels would not be centered why i dont feel anything bellow 100kmh ... Of course the roads has a great impact ... thanks for your time.

Yeah, sounds like a wheel balance issue. A tire shop should be able to do a dynamic balance for you and get you fixed up. Try the shop that put your tires on, there may be a labour warranty that will solve your troubles for free.

just thought i would add that if you have any large amount of snow in the center of your rim this will cause wheel to be unbalanced, clean off snow to resolve shaky wheel..
this happened to me and as soon as i cleaned off snow no more shaky steering wheel..

Check that the wheels are balanced and the lug nuts are tight.
