running lean.

Post by se7en »

I am running lean.

I am wondering what I can do to fix that.

I have FMU installed, and I am still waiting on my millenia S injectors to get here.

at cruise(part throttle, I am at 11.8-12.2:1 which is great, and at idle, I am at stoich(14.7:1)

but as soon as boost comes on, it goes lean(like way lean, and off the gauge.

I am wondering, Do think the millenia S injectors will fix this? could my stock injectors just be sh!tty?

without the fmu, I can't boost over 1 psi before it goes lean.

now I am at about 2-3psi, and still lean there.

I am hopeing thast the millenia S inj. will let me boost to 7-9psi.

what do you think???

will the millenia S 's fix my prob or what?

thanks

EDIT : it is the worst in first and gear.
third gear will pull about 13:1 until 3-4psi, then go way too lean.
and forth gear is not bad until about 5psi.

geez, I can't wait until my injectors get here. I hope that fixes my problem.

the fmu might be overloading the small injectors...cause them to go static. wait it out man to u get soem bigger ones. or ditch the FagManagmentUnit.

I know, I know, but I just needed something to raise my fuel pressure for the time being.

I am msns soon so then I won't have to worry.

With ms all you'll need is some bigger injectors. What are your power goals? How much boost you plan on running? That'll help in determining your injector size. Still millenia s injectors are good for *some* boost.

How much did the millenia injectors cost?

I got them for about $140 canadian shipped.

I will only be boosting to about 10psi when I get them in the mail.

I will be keeping a close eye on the Air/fuel ratio when I do get them.

also, being that it is winter right noe, I can get away with 10psi for now.

in summer I will be only 7psi probably, unless I have race fuel and I am at the track ;)

ps, how much boost are the millenia S injectors good for in the k8 do you all think?

I'd like to push over 200whp with this motor for now until it goes pop!

All you should really need is KLDE injectors , bigger than k8 but not overkill like the millenia S's will be
