Got me a new ride, RX-8
I still have the 95 MX-3 RS. I have painted it,(looks almost like copper red) put 225x40-18s all around but still bought a 06 RX-8 Shinka copper red.
Guess I followed Jeff?
Will be keeping the MX as a daily driver and the 8 as a fun driver. ie drive for fun not for daily driving

So much better. The engine sound is so different, esp when I gun it.
Has lots more power than my RS but gas mileage is not so hot
36 with the MX and 25 with the 8 ..if I drive it slow..but lot less if I really drive it, ie about 18 or so
Looks a lot better, turns lot of heads. PPl even try to race me, even old trucks.
It is fun driving, esp on twisty roads.

I've been looking at S2000s also lately. Pretty cheap used and with the hardtop they look hard.mitmaks wrote:ya I checked them out, pretty good car. I just dont really like 4 door idea. Im looking at S2000's and 350z's right now

Don't like the 4 door idea?
I think it looks cool, opening backwards, draws attention
Best of all, Insurance on 4 door is lot less than the cars u have been looking at, ie z, 2000
I pay the same on the 8 as on the RS. $60 bucks for 6 months /liability
Heck, I pay more insurance on my Bike than on the 8.
Ya, its a big difference between a piston/rotary engine.
Like they say, why go up and down when you can go round and round?

RX8s look sweet but I hear they are gutless and have bad gas mileage
My next car HAS TO BE a V8. I am thinking Trans Am WS6 or SN95 Mustang.
Sn95 would be sweet
I wish i could get that and a RX8 though
Does the RX8 handle better in the twisties then the MX3?

those suicide doors are the best thing about the 8... minus the rotary of course. the practicality of a 4 door with the look of coupe. plus theyre so damn affordable and despite that you dont see em all over the place like the g35 or 350. plus all sorts of mazdaspeed gear for it, bolt on turbos and superchargers... so many possibilities. that's my next car for sure.
congrats man
