alternator sources

looking for a good inexpensive source for alternator for a 96 mx3 , does anyone know if the 80/90 amp used on 1.8 will bolt on to dohc 1.6 / 96. alternator is pooched what about from the ford probe or other mazda's installed in north american or Kia's or what have you?

Yes, the MX-3 GS alternator will bolt to your engine. I believe the lower bolt just goes in the opposite way.

90-95? Protege alternator will work as well. Same alternator as RS.
