SPRING Question

Post by rekognize »

What brand of springs made for the mx-3 has the lowest drop?

I heard Intrax has 1.75" drop? Any other brands?

Ground control adjustable coilovers can give you a lower ride height that use Eibach springs.

I think Intrax was the lowest as far as just lowering springs go... I have Intrax on both my mx-3's. They aren't exactly super cheap though...

Any problems? I heard they sag after a while :?:

And does anyone know if I can use the springs made for 93-97 MAZDA MX6 626?

I think Intrax and H&R give you the deepest drop.

As far as 626/MX-6 springs, check the application guide for part number and see if it's the same part number as MX-3. If it's not, they probably won't fit.

I love how they ride but I have noticed a difference in the set that has been on mx-3's for about 6 years I have been riding on the fast car springs for 4 years + tokico blue (they were taken off another mx-3 that had them for 2 years). The set on the slow car has been on 2 years and they are mated to KYB.

Definately go with KYB instead of Tokico Blue - they are much cheaper and I think they perform better!

There are many other combos, this is just what I've experienced. Recently I have been debating getting a new suspension setup but I'm going to wait until I install all of my bushings and new motor mounts and see how it feels then. I've heard good things about H&R springs with ZX2 struts and the ground control + eibachs.... the decision is really up to you depending how you drive...
