Yes.. its the same engine as what comes in the 94+ RS model. Just with a turbo. You will have to run the Capri ECU and MIGHT have to change the engine bay wiring harness (dunno if the sensors are different offhand) but its pretty much a bolt in. Wiring is the only main question.

hey tunes i looked up on this, the 1.6l in the capri looks more similar to the bp then the b6. it uses a trap door maf, the valve cover looks like a bp cover, external coil and the distributor looks like it has coil packs. but all this is just from a couple cars i saw on ebay and some other places. so it really is a drop in for a b6 turbo?

The B6T looks like a BP but its smaller. The motor mount is different too. I think the timing belt goes around the mount. Its about 3 inches shorter from left to right ( that is if you are looking at it while installed in car).

You should snag the whole thing.Thats if you can. The rods are one of the heaviest besides the GTR BPD engine. They can handle up to 20 psi of boost on a regular basis. Plus it will have the turbo low compression pistons.

They should pass smog. They were released in the US, might want to lean it out some when you do the test. Plus a good cat helps.
