Clutch problem.

Post by Matt »

Basically i got the car the clutch pedal is on an angle pointing towards the center console. Its very very stiff to press and u must give it a lot of pressure then it moves. the bolt ontop the pedal looks fine. Wondering if its got to do with the clutch plate itself, the throw out bearing maybe? Im not sure wondering if anyone else has had a similiar expierence. Thanks.

The pedal being at an angle and clutch itself are not related as they are isolated by a hydralic hose. The pedal being at an angle does mean the something is bent if the is no problems at the pivot bolt. Has the car ever been in an accident it almost sound like the firewall is bent or bowed which would also explain the heavy pedal pressure because the actuator rod for the clutch master cylinder is probably bent or applying force at an angle to the master cylinder in relation to the pedal arm.
