new age bp in an mx3?
im not sure of the year but its a black newer body still riht after the 94's body style with the funny looking taillights..its a bp and im getting the motor trans, ecu, harness, axles and mounts for 350 so yeah....wil that work?

its its a 95 protege wiring harness and ecu won't work.

huh? so can i use this motor? what all do i need cuz im getting everything off the car that i need, wich ecu do i have to use? the b6me? the protege its coming out of is this exact model and color too actually heh.

BP, trans, axles yes.
ecu, wiring harness no its obd II. ur mx-3 is still obd I and to much trouble to convert to obd II trust me.
u'll need to the wiring harness ecu from a 92-93 protege the box model and probly the intake manifold and exhuast header. that newer BP has a different intake manifold and the wiring harness will not plug up to that one.

Ft2 u ain't got the cash to make it fit FE3 same there.
Ur better of finding a 92-94 mazda protege LX/GT.
just do it the right way u'll be better of in the long run.

if you have a sohc dont get the new gen, im pretty sure the new gen bp 95+ are obdII. the new gen looks just like the mx-3's dohc b6. just get a 90-94 bp from a protege and shouldnt be too hard. if you go new gen your gonna have to convert to obdII and its just a hassle.
he wants you to do it the hard way so you'll learn from it. just that simple get a 93 or a 94 bp. no need for a new gen. good luck

thanks bumpy, i need my car to getb ack and forth to work but i need a new tranny so i think im gunna hold off for a while on the bp swap and just get my new tranny an have it installed cuz i dont have the time for it unfortunately. i know i can use a bp's tranny but will it all just bolt up just the tranny and mount and friction plate?

there more work to be done to get a BP tranny on a 1.6 sohc. i know i have done it to the blue mx-3 that has the sohc im waiting to boost.
