I dont know whats wrong!

At the start the car would start up but once you touched the accelerator she would die off. So I changed the air flow sensor.

the battery went dead while it was parked up so i have only managed to get a new battery today!

once the new battery was in it fired up grand. i drove it about 20 feet and the same thing happened again! died off once i touched the accelerator.
For the laugh i disconnected one of the sensors and the car worked grand ok it was ideling high at just under 2k revs but when i turned off the car it wont start!

when i turn the key it tryied so start but just dosnt make it that far! any ideas?

possible the fuel pump?

I had a similar problem. My air intake hose was cracked. When I would open the throttle, the torque from the engine would open the crack further. This allowed air to enter the throttle body (by-passing the MAF) and the car would stumble terribly and stall. It can be difficult to spot a cracked intake hose until you step on the throttle and the hose opens. After replacing the damaged hose, the car ran like a dream. Hope this can help.

New(2nd hand) maf sensor (air flow sensor)
New plug leads
New plugs
no cracks in any of the hoses

shes dying off when i push the accelerator so im guessing its the fuel pump! anyone agree?

yes this can happen when your fuel pump is going bad to make sure check that you are getting sufficient fuel pressure at the rail before you change it.

how do i check the pressure! ahh its grand im replacing mine with another one from a 1.8 instead of my 1.5 just on the off chance it will provide that bit more peressure!

how do you check the fuel pressure?

de-pressurize fuel system, disconnect inlet fuel hose from the fuel filter. attach a fuel pressure gauge and put on the connections that come with it. connect everything, turn key to "on" position for 10 seconds then start car and measure fuel pressure.
