Fan Still Doesn't Work - Tried Sooo Many Things

Post by davio8 »

Hey guys
So i realized my coolant has been leaking from the top, which then i noticed my fan would not turn on. I tried so many things and it still doesn't work. Ill list them:

-changed radiator cap
-changed thermostat
-changed oil filter
-changed engine coolant temp. sensor
-connected fan to battery, and it worked
-tested the fan relay as it says in shop manual and fan relay works
-flushed out all coolant and new clean one is in

Thats all I can thing of that I can do. I don't wanna send my car to a mechanic and gotta pay 200 bucks on something I could've done myself. So anyone got any other ideas I can try?

Thanks a lot

Well what are the possibilities? Fan motor, relay, switch, fuse, Temp sensor. ECM or wiring, right?

why dont you wire it to the battery and see if its the fan? If all fails. wire them to a switch. I got both fans wired to switches. For drag racing (at the line) I turn both of them.

Try cleaning the connector right next to the fan - use a small file to remove all corrosion and spray on some electric cleaner and then apply di-electric grease to prevent further corrosion.

i dont know if ts for the blower motor but there is one near he fusebox in the car. its not really a fuse, more of a breaker. it should say FAN 30AMP on a small rectangular box.
