Yea, ripping it all out will show the biggest increase in power. Although that increase will be nearly non-existant. And running a shorter belt WILL NOT make anything turn faster. The weight savings from removing everything will yeild about a .03 second improvement on the 1/4 mile. To get the same awsome power boost, clean out the hatch and cut the wire going to the a/c compressor. That way you save a lot of time and $20 you would pay for a new belt.

cut the wire going to the a/c compressor? lol i think im just gunna keep it in, tonight it was hot as hell out (i know ive been there) and it was raining...figured id upgrade the alternator and recharge my a/c instead....the alternator im sure will show more power.

yeah so id say the 88 hp needs it then....i really dont see why 88hp is so bad for what it is a little 2k lb car...look at the civics, those are much much hevier and only have 77hp on most.when my cars done, and limegreen's car is done i bet we are gunna be able to beat over half the bp and bpt's on here its gunna be done right.

dont doubt the sohc...ask limegreen...its not better then the bp, but im sure when its done itll beat half of the bpt's on here, if not more.

I just took my ac out of the loop. It's hot, and it doesn't work... I did notice a slight improvement.
