Who has went k8 to BP

just wondering how many people here have decided to go from there v6 to the 4cyl., im really thinking about, i have a spare BP and im sick of the k8 lol and i plan on boosting an engine either way and i have been working on a BP for the past 4 years not a big fan of the v6...

dont do that man, its waaaaaaaaaay too much work, just do the 2.5 they are f****** fast...and you can sell me your bp.

well dude i have a 92 mazda mx-3 V6 that i converted to a 4cly problem is that i swap in the 1.6 sohc and will boosting the sohc with a full standalone so using stock wiring harness will not be a issuse for me. reason why the sohc well thats easy i already have another 92 mazda mx-3 with a BP swap and boosed 12.4@118.

what year mx-3 i hope 92-93 if so

cable driven guage cluster
speedo cable
protege wiring harness
protege ECU
protege engine bay fuse box harness
BP and trans top tranny mount
axles half shaft
4cly cross memeber
4cly passanger side motor bracket
4cly motor and trans mounts
4cly rad.
fan.

u'll will loose ur PS A/C since they are installed differently in the 6cly chasis so u'll have to loose that if u don;t want too i suggest u just get a 92-93 1.6 sohc mx-3 to do ur BP swap.

yeah that sounds about right, plus flux compacitor..its hard to do with the v6-I4 swap...

its not that hard if u know what ur doing. for other it will be like a flux compacitor. LMAO

you can keep the ac and ps. the v6 ac compressor will bolt right to the bp and you can swap over the ps lines from a 4cyl mx3.

i'm swaping from k8 to bp ... so far doesn't look too bad really although i am not using the ps or the ac just because i don't want to though. and there is great write up for making your ps rack into a manual rack on clubprotege.com

biggest thing is to realize you will have to change a lot in the engine bay so just be prepared... i may actually be selling a ton of the stuff off my 1994 rs cause i'm going to part it out in the next month or two (gotta feed the addiction to my AWD mx-3)
