v6 problems

Post by MX3KEV21 »

the problem is when i first partly touch the accelerator the engine bogs down for about half a second then revs up fine but if i touch the accelerator pedal hard the engine revs ok without any bogging down please help! also when i get to 6500rpm the engine seems to lose a bit of power but it still revs ok what could that be. and lastly my revs stick at 1200rpm when idling cant get them down

The cause of 1200 rpm could be the idle adjustment. Thats an easy adjustment. Just do a litle search for "idle" in V6 tec/perf.
Now that half a second "bog" looks like a TPS needing to be checked and/or reset. Not sure about that...

I'd say adjust the TPS too. A search for TPS Adjustment should get you the "how to".
