The car is also known as the Precidia in Canada, Autozam or AZ-3 in Japan.
As for the oil what you are seeing is old seals. AS for what seal there are too many that will let oil into the combustion chamber to tell you about all of them. However, basic engines are all the same in most every way. Therefore, it is likely the piston rings. As the car warms up the seals will expand and close the gap. This is normal in any car of any age, but more prevelant in older cars since the seals, piston walls and other moving parts will have worn making them thinner/smaller than they were when new. The amount of oil being burned is how you will know if it needs to be replaced/fixed. I'd say if it is burning more than a quart between oil changes then it warrant finding the leaky seal. Depending on which seal is bad will tell if it is worth replacing now or just rebuilding the motor when you have the money to do a complete job.

oh yeah you can replace them with any reasonable amount of engine work experience. just remove the cams, valves, springs and go to town. it will cost alot for someone to do for you though. but still probably cheeper then buying and having someone install a new engine

if it's just the valve cover gasket those are around 20 i think and easy to replace just do it yourself and see if that makes the difference
