95-99 BP: Who's got one?

It's wierd how these motors never seemed to make it to the pages of our board despite their massive availibility....

Other then me soon and ariesdude...

What do we know about them?
They're a BP05 headcode atleast...but the block looks a bit different too..

They're OBDII which is both good and bad...
-Good: more data reported to the ecu..
-Bad: more data reported to the ecu..

This is all from memory.

Unless it comes from a miata it will also not have VICS. The facotry redline on them lists lower but this might be a reponse due to the intake manifold and not to the internals. Because of htis they also list a few hp lower as well.

I have a 95 BP from a protege and it does have VICS.
94 Mx-3 Precidia
1.8L 4Cyl DOHC newGen BP (used to be B6DE) ATX
