code 5, could this screw up my ignition?

i pulled the codes from my mx3 last sunday, and i got code 5= knocksensor

now i have big problems with my ignition, my old one is broken, bought 2 new ones, but those 2 dont spark at all when installed, when i put my old one back he just fires up at once...

could the knocksensor screw up my new ignition modules maybe?

no knock sensor provides info to ecm only it is not connected in any way to the ignition control modual.

when you tryed the hei mod did you cut the [f] wire?

code 5 will cause lymo mode but car would still have spark.

my car ran like poo when the knock sensor wires corroded & broke I had to hard wire mine in.
