well you could search....but theres always Cold air intake(CAI).....thats about it.....really don't waste your money on the 1.6 sohc save all your money to buy a better motor if you want performance save for a 1.8 bp from a protege or an escort if you look at the sticky at the top "bp swap guide" thats where you should go
93 mx-3 bp, CAI, msd blaster 2, ngk wires,NGK V-powers(just for limegreen). Pacesetter headers, no cat, cat-back 2.25" piping, autometer lunar A/F gauge, 800w 12" sub w/1600w amp. 3 way pioneer speakers all around

94-96 MX-3 massairflow will not work on the 92-93 sohc mx-3 but a 2nd gen RX-7 will work with the sohc flows better and is bigger than the stock vaf.

rememeber the sohc use a vaf(vaneairflow) and the dohc use a maf(massairflow).

I know ur new but do a searh before u post ?s that habe been answered many times over. some of the guys here will give u a newbie crap out posting a dumb/repeated ? or they post do a search.

throttle body off of a 90-94 protege 1.8L DOHC (BP ENGINE), as well as fuel injectors will fit. Haven't tried the injectors but supposedly they work pretty well. It can be hard finding an RX7 VAF so if you grab a protege one that will give you a bit of a performance upgrade too. I put in a protege ECU too, raises the redline significantly and gives the car a bit more power as well..

miata pistons work

http://www.gude.com has a cam for the SOHC

ebay for cold air intake

or talk to limegreen about turboing the SOHC if you're interested in that.

But I agree with gottagofaster... just buy a BP it's from a 90-94 DOHC Protege and just swapping that in will get you like 125hp as opposed to 88.
1993 1.6L SOHC. Mazdaspeed mounts, BP09 ECU, BP VAF, Fidanza miata flywheel, exedy miata pressure plate, centerforce mx3 disc, tokico struts, B&G lowering springs, and some sh***y motomaster tires.

just looked at the 90-94 protege vaf and it looks exactly the same as my 93 mx3.. is it even worth changing how much hp does the 90-94 protege have?

hey there just noticed ur from the oshawa area. my buddies and i go to doms frequently if ud want to grab some s---, u should be able to get a bp ecu and vaf as i dont think thaey have ne rx7s there. but standard auto wreckers in pickering or ajax has rx7's for the vaf. they also have a all u can carry out day for 40$ every month so u could throw a bp on a hood and have a bp and wutever else u can fit on the hood, for 40$ or so..what mx3 is urs? as ive probably seen u around. for a cai intake if u want ill help u out and u could come and see mine for a comparison. hell u could it here if u wanted. my emails mzdamx3rs@hotmail.com if ur interested. full custom exhaust on simcoe is good for prices on catback too.
dohc b6, intake, exhaust, miata cams ready to go in
