Red - Starter
Yellow - Deep Cycle
Blue - Marine
I'm runing 2 red tops. I never liked the idea of runing a deep cycle as a starting battery, I've always though they like the be slow charged. WE has issues using deep cycle batteries on my parents old camper, kept on killing them.

Optimas are good batteries. I decided to go a different route for my battery though since I wanted to relocate the battery to the back of the car. I bought a drycell Odyssey PC680 battery. A friend of mine has been running the same battery in his MR2 for a year or so without any issues. I bought mine off of e-bay and you can still find them there. If you want to see what they look like.. check out my work log... you will also get to see where I am mounting it as well. Oh and Btw.. as a side note.. the car stereo shop I went to was selling the same battery for $250. I bought it for $90 on e-bay. Cheers

Really? I had my Optima redtop for almost a year already and nothing but great things served my car. My old battery got some serious problems though.Mx3Baker wrote:I hear alot of touble with the red top optimas im just wondering which battery everyone prefers
