I know that.......thats the funny part.......... LOL this kid says he has a turbo kit on his mx with a klze & can run more than 7 psi. He really got mad when i told him the kl03 has better compression for a turbo so he can run higher boost & get more HP

well I've seen people run 10psi on their klze and it held. Not sure for how long though but it can withstand it in some cases.
low compression doesn't necessarly means higher hp output. The higher the compression is the more hp per psi it'll make. So it's pretty much even. A klze on 6 psi could yeld the same power as 8-9 on a klde. Don't quote me on the numbers though.

That car on myspace is mine and yes I have a probe turbo kit on there. I'm not the only one either. A guy on here with the screenname Andy has a K8 that he used a Probe turbo kit on.

I bought the hot pipes off of eBay and the probe intercooler kit. The hot pipes bolt right up. The IC kit I bought intentionally to hack up and make my cold pipes out of. It worked surprisingly well.

As for boost level it's currently at 9psi tuned with MS. Trying to get to the track this Sunday. When I have some times I'll report back.

I only posted on the myspace board because you were filling everyone's heads with a ton of misinformation. It was really amusing to me as I posted proven facts that you would reply with outdated inaccurate knowledge. I thought you were posting all the inaccurate data just for fun to mess with the new people.

If you or anyone else wants full details on how everything was done on my MX3 PM me. I'm not about to write a howto novel, but specific questions are welcome.

This is the only one I have. Next time I have the car out I'll try and take some more for you guys. Some of the random crap in there is from when I threw it all together. I had to move out of state and had to rush my turbo project before I lost the garage. When I get another place to work on it I'll take it all apart and make the pipes pretty. When I originally installed it kept my AC intact just to see if I could do it. About a month later I removed the AC because I don't use it and wanted to lose some weight.

Here's a pic of the other member of this board I mentioned that has the probe kit on his K8

You can actually see both MX3s in this pic.

An easier way to look at compression and boost is the higher the compression the smaller the margin of error when tuning. I never disagreed that a KLDE is a little easier to boost. I negated the statement that you cannot boost a ZE.

he wasn't saying you can't put a probe kit on it is just that everyone who has done it before said it required modification to fit right.... that is interesting to know you installed it with no modifications at all.... those turbs look pretty nice by the way... good job on the installs

his exact comment was

the kit will work but wont fit in the engine bay
"Won't fit in the engine bay" certainly implies it won't work.

There was just a ton of inaccurate information on the myspace thread. The only reason I kept posting was to prevent the new guys from going down the wrong path. I've done a lot of experiemnting and found some successful combinations.

A great deal of the info Monty (Jason) was posting is either outdated or simply wrong. For someone that is knowledgeable about the MX3 and K series engines I would expect more up to date responses.

Not sure what your question is regarding headers. The primaries do come with the kit.

It looks like they bolt up the the regular SSA headers and the authentic hot shots. I've installed 2 of these setups and one of them had hot shots. I didn't even have to remove the primaries. Everything just bolted right up.
