MORE HP LESS $$

Post by PWRD_BY_HKS »

Okay i guess im pretty average compared to everyone in this forum ze, kl31 ecu, millenia manifold, intake and exhaust...what could i get that would get me more hp and would cost less: headers, fly wheel, clutch, i was also thinking about getting a fuel system flush that could help.. i mean i still want to keep my car up-to-date but im about to have a baby (...ohhh yeah fellas by the way THE KID IS HAVING A KID) but i still want to keep building my motor and eventually boost it but its like 3 years away from boost but i mean for now what can i do???

HEI mod same as doing an MSD ignition upgrade..sorta. Puts out same power as the 6AL unit and takes less power, also it costs like 20 bucks. Synthetic oil. hmmmm get real cai but for race only tho.. you know our crazy el paso weather. You pretty much got enough mods :) those drag radials u got are SEXY. If you want to feel a diff in pwoer, well a bit, i would say headers. They are a good investment, very well worth. Flywheel would be the lasy thing i guess since you havge to change the clutch while at it. megasquirt costs about 200 bucks which will be my next project after i fix them mounts.

nah well i had a problem because it was my fault. I didnt ground it proprely and did my mexican job. I just redid the whole thing today and works like a charm. In the faqs from clubprotege it states its like msd. ONE thing i wouldnt do unless i need it is the external coil. I was going to do it today but my coil tested good. it cost 90 dllrs at autozone by the way (stock coil)

IMO if you want more power out of that ze, get either cams or megasquirt or both. This will get you in the 190-200whp IF HIGHLY tuned.

I would also recommend megasquirt for a few HP <I can chirp third gear after MS'ing> and it is essential if you want to go turbo down the road.
