Speedometer cable interchangeable? (BP and B6-ME)

Post by theeun_holy »

I have a 91' Mercury Tracer LTS 5spd, 1.8 BP (donar car.)

my speedometer cable snapped in my 93' MX3 1.6 liter 5spd.

(both are using oem trannys)

does anyone know if these cables are interchangeable?

thanks!

well first off the speedo cable doesn't go into the motor it goes into your tranny..but as long as your tranny is still a cable driven then your fine...just get another cable
93 mx-3 bp, CAI, msd blaster 2, ngk wires,NGK V-powers(just for limegreen). Pacesetter headers, no cat, cat-back 2.25" piping, autometer lunar A/F gauge, 800w 12" sub w/1600w amp. 3 way pioneer speakers all around

Should interchange with very little hassle. Both are cable-driven and use the same connectors on the gauge cluster.
