Im having some bad luck with this car, after fixing a broken trans fluid line and replacing the dist. I noticed the temp gauge got almost to the red and the fan never kicked on, and I swear I heard it working the other day.
(Mind you Ive only owned this car since wednesday)

well
it sounds like you have either a broken fan....maybe you unpluged it or something when messing with the distributor or with the trans line just check your connections. if that doesn't fix it I would replace your fan
