Need help GTR BPT and BOOST

Post by MechaManZero »

I know the injectors on the BPT GTR are low empedance but what CCs are they. How much boost are they good for. I finally bumped into a GTR ECU and will not be looking at an EMS anymore thank god. I am planning to go with corksports MAP ECU in the future and APEX'I AVC-R for now.

well first off They are 450cc injectors. The GTR ecu is good up to around 18psi. That is as far as the maps on it go. And as far as MAP ECU, I would suggest Greddy Emanage Ultimate. Around the same price, but controlls Spark too, and it has an awesome autotune feature where in conjungtion with a WBo2 sensor you set a target A/F ratio and it auto sets itself. It is awesome.

nice so basically even the dumbest person can tune their car with it lmao. With the eManage wouldnt i need to buy the map sensor than.

I think it can be wired into the stock sensor wires at the ECU. However a MAP sensor is more accurate and less resrictive.
The stock injectors will be fine for what the turbo can push (Mazda thought ahead for you on that one ;))

either that or you could get resistor packs for the GTR injectors. the gtr came with them stock, but you could use any resistor pack made to run low imp injectors on a high imp system.

what are you running for a turbo? remember that the GTR ecu is good to 18 psi on a vj23... which would be the equivalent of WAY more psi on a smaller turbo like a vj20. i dont even know if you could even max out a gtr ecu with a vj20, even if you welded your wastegate shut!

Actually I am going to 5 finger a resistor box from the local junk yard out of a mid 90's Accord, they came stock in those.

now why are you on this forum? U pick up an mx-3?

Anyways, if you search you can find the writeups on how to wire in a normal MAP sensor into the emanage so you do not have to buy the official one. But I really think that is going to be my next big purchase for my car (I bought the LSD today :) )

I seriously hope your NOT buying a Map-ecu from corksport as they just lowered there prices on them to 550 when originally they were charging 650 and the funny thing is you can order the Map-ecu direct from the manufacture for only 399. and shipping isnt 150 dollars
