figured so :)

I can weld but prefer not to roll around and do it myself.

Im ordering parts right now. Im gonna run a straight through magnaflow muffler, all 3" mandrel bends from turbo to tail, 6" SS flex, and a 35" glasspack for a resonator.

Should pick some good power up over my 2.5" crush bent exhaust with junk thrush muffler i have now

Sounds like my exhaust. Im running a 3 inch downpipe to a 6 inch SS flex, 6 inch vibrant race muffler and a lo profile hi flow catalytic. Dont forget if youre running all stainless exhaust to get the right wire for the welder and correct gas.

You know the only "real" hi flow cat is metal cats right? Normal cats, there is no noticeable difference between normal and high flow. Just the name sake. So unless you got a metal cat I hope you didn't pay more than normal for that cat...

Metal it is! it is a 5 inch round diameter stainless cat.

He means metal insides , instead of ceramic internals the inside of a "metal cat" would have have a metal screenor "difuser" .

woot for ebay.

today i ordered a magnaflow straight through 11229 muffler (oval, not some rice shiny muffler) and a 3" SS flex. up next is a 35" 3" cherry bomb glasspack and some mandrel bends.

I was hoping for a company like VRSexhaust.com to make a piping kit for us. they have a full mandrel pipe kit for the 1g MX6 GT for only $150! all it needs is simple welding, i can do that no problem. i called them though and nothing for us. WTF. a ZE mx3 pwns the 1g MX6 GT

its honestly cheeper to get ur muffler and cat or whatever you dig and get it all costome. If your in calgary then Carline muffler is the Place.
-KL31 stock internals with curved neck intake manifold and KL36 ecu
-Turbo running 7.5psi
-FMI 3"x12"x32" all alluminum and welded, have a 7.5 PSI spring she just creeps on cold nights
-ACT 6puck sprung/96 probe tranny
-Short shifter
-HEI and MSD 6al (makes a big difference when you spend the 65$ ont he right spark plugs)
-KYB GR-2 struts with H & R springs
-Megan racing seats
-Personal 280mm stearing wheel
-Familia rear strut tower bar

dunno if this will prove helpful, but......

I forget if the 90-4 Protege exhaust is basically the same as the MX-3?

If so, then the mandrel bent tubing kits listed here - including a 3" kit 8) - will 'work':

http://www.trubendz.com/home.asp?produc ... oductIndex

I ordered a 2.5" tubing kit for my Protege and was totally satisfied with their quick shipping, service, and what I received. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

(FYI the ZX2 chassis is the same as the 1st gen Pro, that's why the kit is virtually identical)

This is where I got my tubing from and it was shipped quick to me in Canada too. The cheapest place I found. The only thing not in the kits is the straight piping which I didn't order from them because I thought it would be cheaper to get it locally and not pay for the shipping on that pipe. I was wrong, straight pipe around here is $10/foot compared to the $5/foot on the website. Looks like I will be making another order. LOL.
