New to all of this

Post by Sandman »

Hi everyone
I need to get another car and I have found a 91 mx-3 gs for a decent price. I just have a few questions about these cars. Are the parts for these car easy to obtain? Are these cars any good in the snow? Are there a lot of mechanical problems with them? whats is the life expectancy of these cars?
Thanks for all the help.

well if it's an mx-3 and not a precidia, it's not a 91 for sure. mx-3 where made in hte usa from 1992-1995. i'm not sure of the dates that precidias were made. before you seriously consider buying from this person, i'd let them know that it can't possibly be an 1991 mx-3.
Looking for a 94+GS for KL-ZE fun :)

How much does he want for it? You shouldnt pay to much at all for a 91 unless its real low miles or in better than best condition like modified... I would look around and see if you could find a newer one for around the same price. You may have to spend a little more but you get a later and better model.. And when I say little Im saying like 1K or less

if it's in "perfect" condition and say has power everything, sliding sunrood, abs....
from a dealer you shouldn't pay more than 5,800
from a private party you shouldn't pay more than 4,700

$5,400 sounds a bit high.
I bought my 1992 GS in May 2000 for $3,700 with 121,000 miles on it. The actual manufacture date was late 1991, but it's still a 1992 MX-3.

Thats WAY to expensive for a 91... I wouldnt buy it.. Look around first before you buy. Go on Auto trader and look there to see what they have in your area. I just think unless this has some aftermarket products liek a good stereo or alarm system or something then dont buy it... 50K is good, but its also now and when a car turns 10 the bluebook goes WAY down usally. So check out www.kbb.org and see what they say
