100 octane LPG needs more heat to ignite than 95 octanes gazoline. Also, LGP tanks have a limit of 80% full to prevent accidents of compression. It's more possible tank of gaz exploding than a tank of LPG.

I've just bought my V6.
It has an 80 ltr LPG tank and in the UK this is over half the price of 95 ron.
Not sure how it stacks up yet in terms of economy - but power is slightly down........ you can turn back at a flick of a switch however :D .
Cost £ 1200 last year according to the receipt.

Well, I am very interested in how the tanks are vented, and how are they refilled? Is the refill something you can do at home or do you have to go to an autogas (LPG) service station to have it filled. There seems to be a good market here in the states, at least here in the mid-west, everyone I have spoken to has no clue how it would be done on our cars however. ANY additional info, links or pics would be GREATLY APPRECIATED

Lpg is a fad that has gone in and out in NZ its bigger in austraila

First off they are filled at your local LPG service station, which
a lot of gas stations here have a LPG pump, the tank filler is located
in most cases under the rear bumper of the car.

It is rated at 100-130 octane and loves being turboed.

What amazes me is how cheaply a car in MEXICO.. a country that is more poorer than the us is to make almost ANY fuel injected car into a butane gas car... and yet in the US its thousands of dollars. My relatives have been running a v8 ford taxi for years. It even gets inspected and passes emissions every year.

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

Thank you for the pics of the "octopus" do you happen to have any pics of the tank itself, or how you fill it? I would also be interested in the parts used in the install, and if you have the contact information of the shop that did the install? I am more than intrigued, as this would be one way of "sticking it to the man" with the outragious gas prices even here in the midwest. I have 2 spare MX-3s that I can play with so I can get it worked out on a vehicle that isn't my daily driver.

this is a very very interesting topic, yes very much interested in pictures of the actual 30liter LPG tank, i assume that u removed your fuel tank in the process? Making it 100% LPG?
from a 4AGE to a K8...

Actualy, we still have to be able to run regular gazoline.
You must know this system start all time with gazonile since LPG can only be gazified until engine reach a certain temperature.
I've hear of a new system, sort of "liquid LPG" wich can replace 100% gazoline, but that system is not yet avaiable in my country.

The gazoline tank is still in it's place. The LPG tank is in the spare tire's place...
