KLZE Swap shops in Toronto

Post by jutes »

Hey guys, I'm asking for a friend.

He wants to know where he can get this swap done in the Toronto area since the K8 in his MX3 is on its last breath. He would like to buy the engine from the same place that can install it. I searched for him and found that Lucky Star Japanauto might be able to do it. Any other suggestions?

LuckyStar sells good Engines but they are a bit difficult to deal with. I bought my ze from there but it was stripped I had to argue with them just to get the Alt from the motor.

I will warn you now AGAINST Tiger Japan in scarborough. a quick search will tell u all the horror stories about them. stay away.

however there are a few others, you'll havta just give them a call to see if they do the install as well:

Big Japanese Auto
416-744-1617
20 Milvan Dr, Unit 8

there's also

Best Japanese Auto
416-631-8359
4473 Chesswood Dr

which are both in toronto, but out in pickering there's

United Motion Supply ltd
905-426-4348
1895 Clements Rd, unit 113

but i don't think they have much for ours, but can't hurt to ask. and one out in mississauga

Engine Land Japanese Auto
905-672-3001
7050 bramalea rd, unit 3

Yep, I've heard alot of good things about them (Japan Auto) and their engines. Even if you do the swap yourself, and get a bad engine, they'll do the swap with the new engine for you at no cost. They use lower milleage engines too, but the only "downside" is that they are more expensive, I believe their ZE's go for $2000-$2500, but you get backed with incredible service and warranty. If I wasn't planing on a N/A race rebuild for my next engine, if and when I start that, I'd go with them for my engine.

Myself, I got my engine from EngineLand. Although it wasn't the most healthy of engine, it has been very reliable and has endured all the torture I've put it through for the last 3 years, so I can't really complain too much.
