update and closure........

well i did receive some bad press about hi-spec as a company and i originally pulled out of my measure up because i wasnt happy with what i heard. Anyhow after long talks with the company they assured me that the bad press i received was 3 years old and the company had grown from strength to strength since then and now supply brakes for the radical race cars. So i agreed to a visit and measure up.

unfortunately the calipers on our mx-3 are mounted in a strange way in that none of the calipers that they stock would be able to mount to this bracket, the only way would be to completely cut and reweld in new ones, and i didnt fancy this idea. so hi-spec cannot provide a upgrade for us :(

i also recently contacted precision brakes in the u.s. I noticed in their catalogue they have updated the mx-3 listing to read " requires master cylinder replacement not supplied" I emailed them to ask for further details on this, and their rep couldnt find any answers as to what needs upgrading with what ??? plus presision have bumped their prices up by quite alot recently so precision is also out the window :(

their is a demand for brake upgrades from mx-3.com and club323f so hopefully something may happen in the future.

but until then you wont be able to buy anything off the shelf brake wise, anything you do will have to be one off custom work.
Or just buy uprated oem parts.

Case closed im afraid guys. Sorry but i failed :crying:
