Quick question about k8 jdm engine?

Well heat will be the enemy there. if you do a tranny service, new fluid, new filter, add a tranny cooler It "should" live just fine for some time to come.

I could be wrong but I dont think I am...the auto K8 tranny is the same as the KL auto tranny so it wouldnt make a difference at all. I know the MT trannys are the same. Everybody says weird things about heat and all but its the same damn thing.

actually the KL atx is different from that of the K8 ATX..i even came on here before if i could use the 2.5 ATX but it wasnt swappable, the KL operates differently than the K8 ATX but they both are still a big POS

This company in Chicago called Eric Japan Engines. They do not have a website, but can ship anywhere and do it fast!! Mine was in GREAT shape, it even had the distributor and wires too.

if you're gonna be running the auto, then the easiest thing to do would be to pick up someones old K8, don't bother with a K8ZE (you'd probably need a new ecu), and with the KL (DE or ZE) you'd need other stuff to get it to work with the tranny......
