i have a 92 mx3 sohc and wanna do a bp does anyone know what year protege lx i need motor out off? and should i do clutch and tranny to. or will the one i have now hold up.

Yes u can use ur current trans.

I have a 92 MX-3 5spd that i did the BP a yr ago. I did use my f-series trans and it has held up so far but i don't abuse it all the time. With the swap i also swap out the harness and ecu witch led to no cutting moditying to get the bp to run simply (Plug & Play.)

U can use the LX trans but i'll need the flywheel, clutch, half shaft & axles and the trans mount since the g-series trans has a different mount from that of the f-series mount.
