Electrical Wire Under Air Cleaner

Post by im2bad4ya »

So under the air cleaner (air box, where the air filter goes), there is an electrical wire that is hanging loose. I don't know where it connects to, even though it is only a few inches in length. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Where does this wire go? Does it even NEED to be connected?

OK, here are pics:<br>
From the top, as far as it stretches out. It's a female connector with two horizontal slots. (I say female connector which is a term often used in audio/video/computer engineering)

Dangling, stretched as far as it can go.

Sorry I couldn't get better pics. These were taken at night. So does anyone know where this goes?

that *might* be the wire that powers the solenoid to trip the clutch on the a/c compressor.
